You’ll need:
1 medium onion, chopped
10 cloves garlic, crushed
1 fresh horseradish root (about 4–6 inches), grated
1–2 jalapeños or hot peppers, chopped (or use fresh cayenne)
1 piece of fresh ginger root (3–4 inches), grated
1 lemon, sliced (optional: include peel for extra zing)
1 orange, sliced (optional: for sweetness and vitamin C)
2–3 sprigs fresh rosemary or thyme (immune + respiratory support)
1–2 tablespoons turmeric root, chopped (or 1 tsp ground)
Raw apple cider vinegar (enough to cover everything)
Raw honey (to taste, added after straining)
Instructions:
Chop and grate all your roots, fruits, and herbs. Place them in a clean quart jar.
Pour apple cider vinegar over until everything is submerged.
Cover with a plastic lid (vinegar can corrode metal).
Shake daily, and let it steep in a cool, dark spot for 3–4 weeks.
Strain through cheesecloth.
Stir in honey to taste.
How to use it:
Take 1 tablespoon daily as a tonic.
At the first sign of a sniffle, take 1 tablespoon every few hours.
Use as a salad dressing, drizzle on roasted vegetables, or add a splash to soups for a spicy immune boost.
Variations & Add-ins:
Citrus blast → add grapefruit or blood orange slices.
Deep defense → toss in astragalus root slices.
Warming spice → black peppercorns or cinnamon sticks.
Extra green → parsley or oregano for antimicrobial punch.
May your fire cider kick harder than the sniffles trying to slow you down.
